I abuse sexual infantile in the Youth’s Island. Demographic profile of the period 2007-2012

Abstract

Generically, it is considered child abuse or pedophilia to any conduct in which a child is used as a sex object by another person that has a relationship of inequality, whether in terms of age, maturity or power. In order to characterize the sexual abuse of minors in the period between 2007 and 2012 in the special municipality Isla de la Juventud, an observational descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, given the frequency of cases of sexual abuse of minors have been reported in the territory, it was decided to conduct a demographic cut between 2007 and 2012. To carry out this research collaboration with the National Revolutionary Police was necessary. The lascivious abuse was the offense’s happened to a total of 112 cases. The area of ??greatest impact of these events was the urban, the characteristics of the authors predominant age group was that of those aged between 41 and 50 years, and married workers. The victims were mostly female, aged between 6 and 11 years from dysfunctional families and family friends perpetrators. During the study were reported in the city 275 cases of sexual abuse of children and adolescents.
