Rehabilitation with immediate prosthesis in urgency. Presentation of a case

Abstract

The immediate prosthesis represents surgical, biological, aesthetic, psychic and phonetic advantages, as alternative of treatment to raise the quality of life of the major adult.

We present a case of a 65-year-old patient of carrying age of a partial top acrylic prothesis in good condition(state) and spike in lateral right(straight) incisor tooth with fracture to level of the average third of the root, realizing an immediate prothesis in the Clinic of Prothesis of the Clinic “Orestes Falls Oñateâ€. It was evolved at 24 hours to evaluate the cicatrization, pain, inflammation and the satisfaction of the patient after receiving the treatment. It is concluded that the immediate prothesis acted as bandage, protecting the clot, favoring her epithelization and preventing the appearance of secondary infections, with fewer pain, and limiting the inflammation. The patient suffered a minimum of disintegration (breakup) of her physical and psychic personality; she was satisfied with our work.
